Each piece of KISMET LOLA jewellery is made with so much love and care. We use a variety of techniques to design and create. This is largely dependent on the type of jewellery we are making. Sometimes I create raw and organic pieces directly into jewellers wax (as I did for the ELIXIR Collection). Other times I go straight into sawing and filing silver to create small pendents and stacking rings.
With the NUR Collection
, I called on some expert help from a CAD designer. The rings in this collection all have gorgeous gemstones very specifically placed to catch and reflect light. I wanted to ensure the placement and measurements for all of the stone settings were perfect and easy enough for me to replicate. CAD was the best way for me to do this. So from my initial sketched ideas a CAD image was formed for each design. This was then 3D printed and cast into recycled Sterling Silver, finally a mould made.
Then the fun part began!

A mould of one our ring designs, ready to be cast into recycled Sterling Silver.
Fresh out of casting. Ready to be 'cleaned up’. AKA tumbled, filled and polished.
Polishing each ring by hand to get that super shiney finish. Not so great for my nails but the rings look sparkly!
The fun bit! Time to pick the gemstones. I am gemstone obsessed. Picking stones for our rings is definitely one of my favorite things to do!
When the stones are picked, they are each expertly hand set into every ring.
Rainbow Fingers! The colors are popping and the rings look stunning!
...but there’s one more thing left to do.
Gold! All of our NUR rings are Gold Vermeil. This means they are plated with a very thick (at least 2.5micron) layer of a gold solution ensuring durability. You can read more about Gold Plating in our blog post about this.
