KISMET LOLA'S GUIDE TO MEASURING YOUR RING SIZE

We always recommend popping into a jewellers to have your fingers measured by a professional, however, we know this isn’t always possible, so below are two quick and simple ways for you to do it at home.

1. If you have a ring that fits you already, but you don’t know the size.

Measure the inside diameter of a ring that fits. Make sure it is in the center or widest area of the circle (as in the above image). This is the diameter. Once you have that measurement, check it again the Diameter column in the table below and you can see your UK ring size beside it.

2. If you don’t have a ring and want to learn your size.

Take a piece of string, dental floss or a strip of paper no wider than 1/2 inch.

Wrap it around the base of the finger.

Use a pen to mark the point on the string/paper where it overlaps, forming a complete circle.

With a ruler, measure the length from the starting end of the string/paper to the pen mark.

Use the chart below to determine your UK ring size.

Some helpful tips:

For the most accurate reading using this method, measure your fingers at the end of the day, this is when they are at their largest and therefore you will get a more realistic reading.

Do not measure fingers when you have cold hands as your size will shrink (sometimes considerably).

After sliding the ring sizer on, make sure it slides off fairly easily over the knuckle - this is key as the knuckle is usually the widest part of a finger so your correct ring size has to comfortably fit over it.
